We here at Peytonfarm have owned and trained versatile hunting dogs for over 30 years. We breed a culture of excellence in our dogs and handlers, which establishes a healthy dog/handler relationship and an exceptional and enjoyable hunting experience.
The German Wire Haired Pointer, or, "Drahthaar" is the breed that we personally own and feel is best suited to our needs as hunters of various game types, but we work with all different types of gun dogs. We've worked with lots of different breeds over the years, including Labrador Retrievers, Brittany Spaniels, English Pointers, and many many more. If the dog knows how to use it's nose, we can make it a better hunting companion.
Whether you are an upland bird hunter, duck hunter, or just like having a dog with you while poking around in the woods, our training courses are perfect for you and your furry friend. While hunting and tracking is the main focus of the training, t's important to note that your dog will not just improve gun dog competence, but that it will also learn interpersonal skills and discipline. This will allow your pup to be an asset to you and your family's personal lives as well your sport.
